Located within the Hilton Munich City Hotel, the name Juliet Rose is taken from the world’s most refined rose ever to be developed and the theme of curation and exploration is carried through to the interior scheme of the destination bar.
Created by interior designers Goddard Littlefair, who worked closely with dpa Lighting Consultants, the design for the interior scheme takes inspiration from the strong botanic themed food and beverage menus, with a colour scheme of earthy tones that reference the botanical ingredients. Delivering an experience as well as a sense of intrigue for visitors, there is a spirit of alchemy injected into the bar interior.
As part of the architectural lighting scheme, Applelec LED Light Sheet was selected to backlight floor-to-ceiling partition screens that create a channelled walkway leading to the restaurant’s ‘main ceremony bar’.
Featuring a brass style structure, the screen walls were integrated with a series of printed glass sections, which were decorated with intricate plant and leaf designs.
Further enhancing the botanic prints, double-sided Applelec LED Light Sheet panels in cool 5300K LED option were specified where the crisp white light creates a striking contrast against the warm lighting elements utilised throughout the interior.
dpa Lighting Consultants said: ‘From working with Applelec LED Light Sheet on a number of previous projects, we knew the light panel would provide consistent illumination and help create the desired premium finish required for the project.
With the partition structure being visible from both sides, the double-sided Applelec LED Light Sheet panel option was selected to ensure maximum light output would be delivered to create a highly luminous effect.’
